A group of 9 islands off the coast of Phang Nga approximately 100 kilometers northwest of Phuket, the Similan Islands are world famous for their spectacular natural beauty both above and below the water. Protected as a national marine park (the park is closed from May to October and three of the islands are closed to visitors year-round), the islands are often rated among the top 10 dive sites in the world. The islands are normally referred to by numbers from 1 to 9 but also have their own Thai names. This fantastic day trip departs from Tab Lamu Pier in Phang Nga and takes in islands 4, 7, 8 & 9, featuring pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and great snorkeling with an abundance of marine life to see.



Tachai Island, also called Virgin Island, is situated between Similan and Surin National Marine Parks, 135 km north-west of Phuket and 70 km west of Khao Lak. It is considered to be one of the best diving and snorkeling sites in Thailand. It has beautiful corals with many large fish. There are leopard sharks, nurse sharks and eagle rays. Hawksbill turtle and whale sharks are regular visitors of these water. It is a lovely island with a long white beach, beautiful waters, rocky outcrops and a small mountain viewpoint. It is also home to the peculiar chicken crabs.



The Similan Islands is a group of islands in the Andaman Sea off the coast of, and part of, Phang Nga Province, southern Thailand. It is a national park, Mu Ko Similan, which was established in 1982

Wat Tham Suwan Khuha is a surprising cave sheltering an immense reclining golden Buddha. So if you feel like a little drive outside Phuket island, explore another side of Phang Nga! This region is not only famous for its incredible limestone cliffs plunging down into the sea, but also for some unexpected jewels. If you rent a car, driving along these majestic cliffs of Phang Nga will reveal impressive landscapes and the surprising Wat Tham Suwan Khuha cave where this famous reclining Buddha is located.



James Bond Island is a famous landmark in Phang Nga Bay. It first found its way onto the international tourist map through its starring role in the James Bond movie 'The Man with the Golden Gun'. A distinctive feature of this famous bay is the number of sheer limestone cliffs that vertically jut out of the emerald-green water.



Ko Panyi is a fishing village in Phang Nga Province, Thailand, notable for being built on stilts by Indonesian fishermen. The population consists of 360 families or 1,685 people descended from two seafaring Muslim families
